Louella Albornoz

Louella Albornoz is a veteran of Filipino entertainment in late seventies and early 80s working with Philippine greats Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Gina Alajar, Edu Manzano, Lino Broca, Bernardo bernardo, and Lito Lapid Lloyd Samartino, and the list goes on and on. Louella has done her time in showbiz as an actress host. At only 50 years young Louella is getting a second surge in her career, appearing in many new projects.

Louella Albornoz was making hits in the late 70s and early 80s along side the likes of Nora Aunor, Lino Broca, Vilma Santos, Christopher DeLeon, Edu Manzaon, Tito Vic and Joey, Bernardo Bernardo, Lloyd Samartino, Lito Lapid, and Edu Manzano. But she took a short hiatus from showbiz to pursue her own American dream. Four boys, and a few years as an on-call librarian later…Louella is back on the scene, stumbling into the spotlight alongside the Black Eyed Peas as the controversial Bebot Mom, and as ABS-CBN’s MYX Mama. She just had a brief Maalaala Mo Kaya appearance opposite Sam Milby. And now with a special appearance in Amerikana, Louella gets to grace the stage and share her vocal talents with the world.

Louella is a graduate of Assumption Convent, but she never did turn out to be a nun. She went on to marry Student Canteen’s Andrew Angeles, and had four boys. Her eldest, Stephen is daily television as a reporter for The Filipino Channel’s Balitang America. Stephen, never losing faith in his mom, would throw her into long distance commercials when no other talents could be found. After starring in Patricio Ginelsa’s music video “BEBOT: Generation Two” for the Black Eyed Peas as the mother of Apl.de.Ap and singer Jasmine Trias, the phone calls have kept coming in.
