Eva Caparas

EVA CAPARAS, an original Music & Magic frontliner, moved to the U.S. in 2006 and has been teaming up with Fe de los Reyes and Jet Montelibano as the U.S. version of Music & Magic, thrilling audiences with their characteristic showband bravado. Vis--vis her huge role as mother to four, Eva performs mainly in California for Filipino audiences and is currently writing her own songs. Eva went solo as Music & Magic went their separate ways in 1989 and in less than two years before being a fulltime mom for over 15 years and three countries, built her own following and brand of singing typical of Manila, Philippines in the 80s. From that she is remembered by her former and most probably current fans and followers.

Fe de los Reyes first met Eva in an Ateneo Glee club audition where Fe was Glee Club officer and Eva was an auditionee. From there Fe recommended that Eva audition like she did for where they eventually both 'grew up' as co-band members and as friends, with Music & Magic.

In AMERIKANA, the Musical by Bodjie Dasig and Odette Quesada (2009), Eva played Fe's true-to-life long-lost-but-found sister, Rita where Fe and Eva duet a heart-rending love song for Fe's dear father.

In 2011, Eva teamed up with Suka & Patis, Jaq Baranda and Aggie Hendryx, a violin and bass team of two and hope to build an audience with their eclectic choice of songs. From 2003-06, Eva built a repertoire of her own paintings which can be viewed on Facebook. Still gearing up to perform, increase, experience, expand in her artistic leanings, Eva is excited about future shows and performances in the wider Northern Americas.
